For the Likes-it-Spicy Dad
If your dad is a kinda-spicy but don't get too crazy and hot type of dude, just put in less Tapatio, duh. And a bonus insider tip, this drink will be free for all dad's at Medina's restaurants on Father's Day.

No-Nonsense Scotch-Loving Dad
My grandfather is not much for co*cktails. He is one of those 2-cubes-and-a-pour type of old men. But I mixed this one up for him, and now he asks for it anytime there is an accessible bar present.
Then again, Korean men just love Johnnie Walker, so maybe that's why.

Scotchy Tom Collins
1.5 oz. Johnnie Walker Black Label
5 dashes lemon juice
3 cubes of ice
3 oz. club soda
Shake up ingredients. Serve in Collins glass w/ ice.

For the "Green" Dad
My dad is all about saving the environment, eating locally sourced and organic ingredients. Plus, he loves the savory flavor of Bloody Marys overall. So this is the co*cktail for him. I use all organic ingredients.

Jalapeno Tabasco
1/2 tsp of White Horseradish
1/4 tsp of Celery seed
Splash of Olive Juice

Puree tomatoes, tomatilla, cucumber and green apple until combined. Combine with other ingredients. Finish with a pinch of salt and float a few grinds of ground black pepper. Garnish with celery heart, cucumber slice and green olives.

For the Sexy, Oldschool Dad
I tapped my good friend Dushan Zaric, one of the co-owners of Employees Only and Macao Trading Co., for a good Father's day recipe. I figured since he is a dad of 2 and a much renowned mixologist, he would have some answers. A negroni was his pick. He says, "It is the Mrs. Robinson of co*cktails; stunning, sexy and mature. Its dark alluring color is only a preview for the bitter-sweet aromas that expand on the palate." With a description like that, even if you don't like it, you have to pretend. Here's to you Mrs. Robinson!
